Abstract

The era initiated by environmental-political and economic aspects of the light alloy materials in the automobile-construction leads to newer and newer challenges. Therefore it is a matter of solving the problems in the area of joining- and coating-technology connected with corrosion phenomena to correspond to the image- and customer-requirements for the global automobile market. The purpose of this work is the corrosion-technical investigation of different material- and joining-combinations by means of salt spray test (DIN 50 021), change climate test VDA (VDA 621-415) as well as by measurements of the typical current-potential curves. With the help of the data conclusions on problems specific for production and construction are possible or this one form the base for possible solutions.
