Abstract
The increasing globalization and market transparency demand flexibility and short response times from the organizations. For SME these properties are a chance to exhibit and entry new markets. In order to maintain this advance and to strengthen the chances, various SME established management systems in the field of quality, environment and occupational health and safety. Management systems represent a modern instrument to guide and control any activities in an organization. Without a management systematic, these activities cant be calculated and assured. The establishment of management systems has been parallel developed in many enterprises. Due to this double efforts, losses of information, interface problems and more un-known complications can occur. In order to avoid these negative effects, organizations have started to install integrated management systems. In Austria, Germany and the Switzerland such integration models have already been founded. These models support enterprises with the constitution of an holistic management system. The aim of the present PhD-Thesis (dissertation) is to present and discuss a new model for the implementation and integration of management systems, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises.
