Abstract
The thesis at hand demonstrates the theoretical application of a great amount of alternative raw materials to create a product, which in terms of the chemical properties equals Portland cement clinker. The achieved substitution rate of 50 percent and in some cases up to 100 percent is way above the sectoral average. The available chemical characterizations, which are compulsory due to the legislation regarding waste, lack of essential parameters for clinker raw mix calculations. This thesis chooses a practical approach to get further data, in order to carry out raw mix calculations. This represents a satisfying approach for the current project status. Based on the unpredictability of the future alternative raw materials regarding the amount, the chemical constitution and their time of occurrence, one major goal for the design of the plant should be flexibility. Furthermore the extraction and the discharge of harming elements will represent a key role in terms of the process engineering. According to the findings the available infrastructure at the Ennshafen makes the site a vital choice for a future project realization.
