Abstract
In this diploma thesis the process development for manufacturing of inner stiffeners for ceramic-metal-composites for the casting process is presented. Therefore it is tried to get similar stiffening behaviour with constructed metal foams as in natural foams. The constructed foam has the advantage that the properties of the structure can be varied in any direction. For testing the feasibility of the process a simplified inner structure was used in the experiment. The test specimen was built first as a wax model and afterwards covered with ceramic fibres in a vacuum chamber to build a casting mould. After firing, the mould was used for casting the test specimen. The casting is analysed for quality of mapping and tested for deformation properties. With this technology environmentally compartible products can be produced because of loss of weight and all synergetic effects out of it.
