Abstract
Water is one of the most important resources and it has to have the highest quality for human use. Because of this and many other requirements (e.g. legal, technical, ecological), well functioning drinking water production is a very important issue nowadays. The challenge or problem in drinking water production process by use of water wells is the so-called aging of water wells, which is caused by silting, corrosion, settlements etc. These interferences result in the reduction of well productivity and can subsequently stop the operation of the well. To counteract this problem, the regeneration of the well (e.g. mechanical, chemical, or ultrasonic) has to be carried out. Present Master Thesis deals with the regeneration of vertical filter water wells by application of ultrasonic technology. Additionally, the penetration of ultrasonic in the subsurface area is investigated.
