Abstract
The diploma thesis "Quality demands of waste electrical and electronic eqipment for repairing is basically divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals at first with the legal framework concerning reuse and contains an estimation of the future amount of waste electrical and electronic equipment , collected in Austria. Furthermore, the points where waste electrical and electronic equipment can be discharged from the track of disposal and the options of recycling for components are mentioned. It follows a description of the advantages and disadvantages of repairing and reuse of waste electrical and electronic equipment. The practical part contains the results of two appraisals of waste electrical and electronic equipment from the waste industry. The appliances were provided by a waste disposal company and, in consideration of the ability for repairing, assessed by a technician. Finally, for all kinds of big household appliances, there have been developed criteria, which allow an easy but effective presorting in for repairing and reuse proper appliances.
