Abstract
In the assembly of large machines, in the individual and small series production, there is a big variety of special features and requirements. This work provides a guideline how to plan and design material supply for assembly of large machines based on a directed sequence. The development is presented according to the following aspects of lean logistics. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part the elementss of lean material provision are treated. These include planning, management and implementation of picking, internal transport and warehousing. A focus is placed on the theoretical treatise on the clear definition of terminology in the field of material provision. In the second part, the findings of the theoretical part are transferred into practice. The creation of a concept of material provision of large machines assembly ROBEL Bahnbaumaschinen GmbH is performed. This includes the planning preparation with the corresponding analysis of the actual situation. The thesis continues with the general planning of material supply strategies and process descriptions. Related from the detailed planning, implementation and operation of a partial area is explained. In conclusion, the findings from the work are summarized and critically examined.
