Abstract

The enlargement of the salt mine at Altaussee has become necessary because of the planned expansion of the mine layout to increase and stabilise the output level of the pit building that will be developed over the next few years. The most favourable haulage road, in which the mine waste of the Erbstollen horizon enlargement is carried to the cavern, was determined because of following contributing factors: costs, construction time and labour utilisation. For this purpose, the most optimum tunnelling method for the haulage road option including inclination and length of the haulage road was stated. Necessary technical facilities for the haulway production were demonstrated (TSM upgrade and transportation installation to move the mine waste). Furthermore a conveyor plant that including all installations for the mine waste transportation to the mined cavern was suggested. For the distribution of the mine waste into the cavern an economic-technically suitable storing method was also compiled.
