Abstract

The thesis attempts to analyse the characteristics of sour gas resistance of two different steels (28Mn6, C50) subject to their production process and handling. It should be detected, if the new production process effects improved sour gas resistance. The analysis showed following results: The tubular material (28Mn6, 28Mn6-TK) as well as the both modifications of the milled wire (C50-WD, C5-WD-TK) are completely resistant against sulfide-stress-cracking and hydrogen-induced-cracking attacks. The modification of the production process leads to no improvements because the conventionally manufactured alternative of these materials is already resistant. The conclusion concerning the resistance of the profiled wire is more different. The SSC-resistance of the modified sort (C50-PD-TK) is as per the tests worse than of the conventionally manufactured C50-PD. Because of the broad distribution the number of the samples would have to be raised to a multiple to confirm this trend. Relating to the exposure of hydrogen-induced-cracking the new production process effected an improvement to the HIC-parameter.
