Abstract

This diploma thesis characterises the typical tasks of a mine surveyor in an open-pit mine of loose rocks. Furthermore the legal foundations which have effect on open-pit mining and dredging are highlighted. A special theme are the dredging and its surveying. The limnological conditions which are useful to save the quality of water in long term are also shortly explained. Besides the geodetic work and mine damages, the mine surveyor organises the mine planes of the open-pit mine. The high grade of information about mine planes demands the use of a geographical information system (GIS), which is also coached by the mine surveyor. Several chapters describe the typical working procedures of the mine surveyor and show some plans of an existing open-pit mine.
