Abstract
Falling films are free flows along a planar or curved surface and play an important role in many industrial processes. In this field, the determination of film thickness and film speed, there have been published several works published. This work deals with the laser optical film case study. Here, the two-dimensional velocity profile of a falling film, is measured with the aid of a high power laser, a high-sensitive digital camera, a suitable light sheet optics and PIV-supporting software.
