Abstract
The focus of this thesis is on the aspects of internal control of planning processes in logistics. Internal control systems aim to achieve effectiveness and efficiency in operations, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and reliability in financial reporting. In literature, internal control is often performed using checklists, stating the risks they are supposed to reduce and the means by which they plan to achieve this reduction. These checklists often name elements of logistic planning processes as methods for reducing risks, however there is no such thing as a control over these elements themselves. This thesis aims to generate a control system for these elements by applying the principles of control design found in literature on logistics planning processes. In doing so, the thesis attempts to close this gap in literature and real-life application.
