Abstract

Jenbacher AG is conscious about its responsibility for the environment. Active environmental protection with products, production processes and in the management considering qualitative and economic basic conditions should help to secure the stable long term development of the company. The environmental policy of Jenbacher AG is focussed on three main topics: product development, preservation of resources and reduction of pollution in the production. The existing product range is developed towards enhancement of overall efficiency, emission reduction and new applications within the speciality gas range, which could not be utilised so far. Especially in the production continuous measures are taken to preserve resources and to avoid emissions into air, soil and water. This diploma thesis is ment to be an assistance for the introduction of an environmental management system. Furthermore, suggestions for possible improvements are included in the area of pollution prevention and reduction of resource depletion.
