Abstract
This thesis documents the project of implementation of a vibration monitoring system in the Spittelau/Flötzersteig department of the Fernwärme Wien. The theoretical part provides an overview of the concepts of maintenance and maintenance types, touches on the basics of the theory of oscillations and describes the common vibration measurement methods and the relevant signal analysis. The practical part focuses on the technical and organizational aspects of the implementation of the monitoring system and cost analysis. Through the implementation of a vibration monitoring system, the reliability of the plant is improved and the ability to plan maintenance measures is enhanced. As a result, the availability of the plant is increased, which represents an economical advantage for the company.
