Efficient heat dissipation on components is becoming increasingly important. Not only the requirements of mechanical material properties are increasing, but also new concepts for heat removal must be developed. Due to the new requirement profiles, an alloy should be found which has a high thermal conductivity combined with good mechanical properties. The required material properties were realized by a mixing process of CuCrZr powder with maraging-steel powder and subsequent generative manufacturing. Four alloys with different copper content have been produced, which were subsequently processed by Laser-Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) to test specimens. In this case, the microstructure, the strength and the hardness, the chemical composition, the thermal conductivity as well as the effect of the heat treatment on the material properties of the L-PBF-manufactured components were discussed.
