Ermittlung von Auswahlkriterien für feuerfeste Baustoffe in Aluminiumschmelzöfen

In the diploma thesis criteria for refractory materials in a melting furnace for the secondary aluminium industry were developed. The first part gives a short summary of the used materials in the closed well furnace of Austria metal AG. Furthermore a description of the different types of load for refractory materials in the mentioned furnace was done. The practical part of the thesis includes the design, manufacture and start-up of a test facility for determination of behaviour of the lining system. Due of these investigations concerning the different load and refractory materials recommendations regarding the optimization of the testing equipment, experimental set up and the refractory materials can be given.
