Abstract
Especially in globally operating industrial companies, modern ERP systems are indispensable nowadays. However, the introduction of such a new system often confronts companies with major financial, economic, and organizational challenges, as such a change can frequently have a significant impact on all areas of the organization. In this thesis a concept for the implementation of a standardized and multisite ERP system for a worldwide operating manufacturer in the semiconductor industry is developed. Based on a literature review, key success factors in the individual phases of an implementation project are identified and subsequently presented in a structured manner. Based on this, the empirical part of this thesis investigates a selection of intralogistics processes of a semiconductor manufacturer and analyses them in detail. The main emphasis is placed on the programs and workflows used in the processes as well as on possible difficulties that may occur due to the implementation of the new ERP system.
