This thesis deals with the question of weather and how the organizational structure influences the management style of the company. At the beginning a review of the basics of leadership, its definition and the necessary components that have to be included is given. Management as a whole includes several areas and so for further consideration of the leadership, the human resource management and the management of the company are deferred. Subsequently, it is shown how the general understanding about the employees in the human resource management form the conventional view of the modern human and the underlying theories. This is followed by the different styles of leadership plus their balance of power and the management-by-principles. The importance of an adapted leadership style to the prevailing conditions of the company environment is described by the leadership theories. The leadership theories are a tool to classify the leadership styles and to decide on the right reasons. Nonetheless is a big part of the leadership style affected by the personal characteristics of a person and therefore it is important to train young leaders soon enough. In combination with the right structures and an integrated talent management a continuous replacement can be guaranteed. Anyway, the organization itself plays an important role in leadership. This can bee seen if you look at the organization, the organization concept and the organizational structures, which evolved over the years. To show the relation between the leadership style and the organizational structure different organizations where questioned through an expert interview. The evaluation of the results was done with an qualitative data analysis.
