Abstract
The scope of this Master Thesis was to determine the influence of inhibitor mixtures to the corrosion and fatigue behaviour of a stainless steel and a low alloy steel. Exposure tests were carried out in aqueous solutions with and without argon purge. Furthermore, electrochemical investigations were carried out to assess the corrosion behaviour of the steels within the different solutions. The results reveal that all investigated inhibitor mixtures are basically suitable for the planed application. It can be shown, that the fatigue behaviour of the materials tested is influenced by the content of the impurities of the steels.
