Abstract
The modelling of the spotwelds plays an important role for the FE simulation in the automobile industry. The Spotweld models must be represented correctly on the stiffness of the weld joint. And in order to be able to calculate the durability of the structure the stress of the spotweld must be determined exactly enough. In this thesis different FE models for spotwelds should be evaluated concerning usability for the structure optimization. The structure optimization concerning stiffness and durability of normal construction units is already state of the technology. The optimization of spot-welded structures with different spotweld models concerning stiffness and durability are accomplished in this work. Test calculations at academic and real construction units are to be accomplished. The experiments of optimization with the spotweld's distribution under consideration of stiffness, natural frequency and durablity with the software TOSCA.Topology ware successfully. The improvements of the results could be found concerning all single criteria of the optimization. The process for the respective optimization task works well and automatically. The process of the spotweld optimization was accomplished with 2 different spotweld models. The proceeding of the spotweld optimization with TOSCA.Topology worked generally, and the results are plausible.
