Development and characterization of new low-cost intermetallic titanium aluminide alloys for advanced environmental-friendly propulsion systems

Research output: ThesisMaster's Thesis

Abstract

The aim of the thesis is the development and structural characterization of low-cost intermetallic titanium aluminides for the high-temperature applications in advanced environmental-friendly propulsion systems. The scientific content of the thesis includes the investigation of newly developed alloy systems, thermodynamic calculations, measurement of the occurring phase transitions and the cross-scale characterization of the complex microstructure of the material, from the atomic to the macroscopic scale.
