Abstract

This thesis was written in the year 1989. The underlying study has been interrupted for a long time and resumed in 2014. This thesis no longer corresponds to the current state of science. Therefore, this thesis has been complemented with a matching seminar paper on the revision of the ISO 9001 standard. This paper was inserted this document subsequently. Master thesis (written in 1989) The aim of this thesis is to build a quality information system (QIS) for economic control of quality in the pressing plant of Aluminum-Ranshofen Ges.m.b.H.. Following a vulnerability analysis opportunities for improvement should be developed for selected priorities. In this work the actual status of the quality control is recorded and displayed in the form of material and information flow image. For the areas of volume control, dates and test data, general information for quick order analysis and complaints the vulnerabilities and their impact will be developed systematically. In addition to the operational and organizational design of the control circuits, the required data and data structures as well as possibilities for their detection are defined as a basis for introducing a computer-aided data acquisition system. The redefined control circuits are linked to a quality information system and proposals for the production of quality reports are elaborated. Finally proposals for a gradual introduction of QIS are made. Seminar paper (written in 2015) In this work the draft of ISO 9001:2015 is compared in detail to the existing ISO 9001:2008 to obtain an overview of both new features and major changes as well as for minor adaptations. Based on this theoretical basis the quality management system of the Department of Economic and Management Sciences at the University of Leoben is analyzed for adaptation needs. The chair gets an overview of areas in which in any case is need to adapt or at least require a further investigation by the QM-team of the chair.
