Abstract
The EGGER company produces various wood fibre boards and laminate flooring at Wismar in Germany. With the introduction of the production data collection system, an OEE analysis became common practice for the production plants. This OEE analysis serves to identify and reduce the largest sources of loss, which should increase productivity. This thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the basics of maintenance concepts and goes into more detail about TPM and OEE to give the reader an understanding of the topics covered in the practical part. During the practical part of the project, first an extensive analysis of the sources of loss is carried out. Various qualitative and quantitative methods are used for this undertaking. The collected loss sources are compared with the existing data in the production data collection system. A further part of the master thesis is the control of the existing OEE calculation, whereby the existing calculation scheme is checked. During the check, the incoming data is especially examined for completeness and scatter. The largest occurring sources of loss at the two coating lines serve the production department as control parameters for the improvement of the overall equipment effectiveness. During production data acquisition, the most important parameters of the production process are recorded and displayed over various time axes. The end of the present paper describes approaches for the reduction of the existing sources of loss.
