Abstract

In the course of this master thesis the further mining and replenishment planning of the limestone quarry "Burgfried" in Lassing, of the company Paltentaler Splitt- und Marmorwerke GmbH, is carried out. As mining and replenishment are carried out in parallel, with an annual production of approx. 120,000 tons of valuable mineral and an annual replenishment rate of approx. 60,000 tons, a continuous procedure of these processes must be ensured. Three different mining and hauling variants, which appeared to be possible from the current point of view, were compared with regard to technical and economic criteria. For all three variants, a three-dimensional detailed planning was created in the Surpac planning program in order to illustrate the chronological sequence of the mining and filling procedure. The variant consisting a combination of a mining in slices and floor mining method, with a "barrier level" in the depth of the open, turned out to be most useful. The material recovered in terms of blasting can thus be transported to the processing plant in the west on mostly existing hauling ramps in the northern area of the openpit mine by means of LHD operation. By creating the "barrier level" there is the possibility of a continuous replenishment which can be carried out parallel following the mining operation. However, a deposit loss must be accepted in this variant.
