Abstract
The importance of occupational healthy and safety had been recognized and developed for decads years, and the management system on OHS had been summing up and developed from 1970’s in developed contries, the concepts and the management system are expanding to the developing countries gradually since then. Sandvik expanding more and more bussiness in the developing contries, including develope the production units, Sandvik strives to provide a healthy and safe work environmentas where ever the operation is. Sandvik China had won the honor of being selected as one of the Best 50 Places to Work in China both in 2009 and 2010. The continuous focus on the OHS improvement in the workplaces is considered as one of the contribution for that. Sandvik mining and construction set the OHS target as achieve the 0 injury and illness in the workplace and the organizations, developed the EHS policy and standards implemented globally including the operation in China. Sandvik mining and construction (Chna) Co. ltd. is a assembly unit, start the operation in 2005, and in 2009 move into a new built facilities, the company had past the certificate renew audit on ISO18001, but still face many challenges in the OHS management system launch up and implementations, need deliver more OHS knowledge education and training, need develop efficient workplace hazards verify and control tools, the OHS system need in time review and monitoring in accordance with the working environment changes. OHS risk management is a key effective tool for implemente the OHS management system, this project start with the risk management system mathod, analysis the identify-assessment –control-review steps in the loader production, and developed some tools for the OHS management system impletement, which in accordance with company’s OHS management frame structure.
